“Pskovcable” plant placed in commission new twisting equipment |
“Pskovcable” plant placed in commission new twisting equipment. As the Pskov Information Agency correspondent was reported by Victor Kukushkin, OJSC “Pskovcable” director, up-to-date equipment delivered from Germany is designed for production of power cables and overhead transmission lines. First lots of cable produce have already been manufactured with the help of this equipment.
As the “Pskovcable” plant manager emphasized, foreign twisting equipment cost the enterprise approximately 0 USD. “In case of full load operation and stable economic situation in the Pskov region, the equipment will enable to provide nearly a 10% product increase to the index of the year 2004,” he considered.
According to Victor Kukushkin, installation of new twisting equipment, start-up operations and control over pilot lots were performed by specialists of the enterprise, without any exterior help. “We delivered equipment to the enterprise September 15, installed it in the extremely shortest period of time and at the beginning of December it manufactured first batches of cable products,” he said.
History of OJSC “Pskovcable” dates back to 1963, when a department for production of enameled wires was founded. At the present moment component list of products numbers over 100 kinds of wires, cables and cords. Pskov cable-producing plant is the leading manufacturer of cable produce in the North-West of Russia. In 2002 production was certified for conformance to international standard ISO 9002 by “KEMA” company (the Netherlands).

Delegation of Danish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and “Nordic Consulting Group” spends 4 days in Pskov region |
December 6-9 a delegation of Danish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and “Nordic Consulting Group” company pays a visit to the Pskov region. As the Pskov Information Agency was reported in the Committee for foreign Affairs and Tourism of the Pskov region Administration, purpose of their visit is to define directions of projects within the bounds of joint measures on preparation of the Danish “Programme of economical development of the Kaliningrad and Pskov regions” designed for 2005-2007 years.
The programme provides conduction of measures aiming at stimulation of economical development of the region with assistance of Danish colleagues as well as implementation of a range of pilot projects in the most prosperous spheres for economics of the region. Danish government intends to transfer approximately 7.5 million euros for this purpose.
The programme of the visit also includes meetings in executive bodies, in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Pskov region, appointments with representatives of trade union organizations. Visits to organizations of business support and development, financial institutions, educational institutions and enterprises are also put on the programme list.
Programme priorities are being currently worked out, principal organizations and institutions are being defined for participation in the programme. Special attention in the course of programme development is paid to investigation of local situations, opinion of Russian participants of the programme is taken into account as well. Project operations concerning programme development should have been completed by May 2005.

Railway freight turnover in Pskov region increased at 25% |
In January-September 2004 railway freight turnover in the Pskov region increased at 25%, automobile freight traffic did not change. As the Pskov Information Agency was reported in the state Statistics Committee of the Pskov region, amount of commercial transportations numbered 2611 thousand tonnes, including 1668 ths. tonnes by railway transport and 916 – by motor vehicles.
Passenger traffic performed by buses of public transport companies and by buses belonging to individuals equaled 1173 million passenger-kilometers, if compared to January-September 2003, it decreased at 4%. Number of runs made by shuttle buses of any kind reduced at 2% to the relevant period of the previous year. Regular pattern of shuttle bus runs made 93.7%.

Pskov provides America with stator coil winders |
Pskov CJSC “Alliance-PMF” delivered 4 coil winders ISW-7 at the cost 0 thousand to American company “Alliance”. The machines are designed for direct winding of stator coils. Counterparts cost about -86 thousand. This was written in “Business Petersburg” newspaper with reference to Prime-Tass.
In 2003 American company “Alliance”, CJSC “Alliance-PMF” founder, delivered to the company 20 coil winders at the cost over million. Delivery took place within the bounds of extension and upgrading of production at the enterprise, it is connected with transfer of production facilities of the “Alliance” British branch to the Pskov region. Coil winders enable to produce equipment for batch manufacturing of robot systems by American company “Alliance”.
For the present moment 30 coil winders are a disposal of CJSC “Alliance-PMF”. In 2003 volumes of company orders amounted nearly 0 thousand, in 2004 the sum is supposed to come to 0 thousand.

Next year “Pskovelektrosvar” will produce over 300 containers for installation of equipment of “Bee-Line” company base stations |
Next year CJSC “Pskovelektrosvar” will produce over 300 containers for installation of equipment of “Bee-Line” company base stations. This was reported to the Pskov Information Agency correspondent by Alexei Toropov, business manager of the company.
According to the business manager, “Pskovelektrosvar” plant has totally mastered this manufacture as recently as this year. “For the present moment over 100 special containers have been produced for “Bee-Line” company,” Alexei Toropov mentioned. “The cellular operator uses our produce for installation of new base stations in the North-Western district. We had to withstand tough competition with other manufacturers, so signing of a new contract testifies to quality of our produce,” he emphasized.
Besides, Alexei Toropov added that in the first quarter of 2005 “Pskovelektrosvar” intends to master production of towers and mast antennas for cellular companies. “Gadgetry for new industry is currently prepared in the company, essential equipment is being bought,” he explained. Business manager believes, that “technical capabilities of the plant are far not exhausted, and it will favour increase of production output and extend range of produce in future.”

Shopping centre “In Senkovski” to be soon opened in Velikie Luki |

A new shopping centre will be opened soon in Velikie Luki in a private sector in Senkovski crossing. As the Pskov Information Agency was reported in the press office of the International Association of Economical Partners (IAEP), new shopping centre “In Senkovski” is a newly-built two-storey pink building that comprises a food department and a department of household products.
The new store is equipped with produce of IAEP founder enterprises – LLC “MEP-Luki” and LLC “Protec Company”. “No doubt, customers’ attraction will be drawn to wooden display rack for bakery products, the rack perfectly fits trading furniture made of plastic and metal,” as considered in the Association.
“Super-Service” display racks of LLC “MEP-Luki” will be represented in the department of household products. Perfumery sections will be equipped with LLC “Protec Company” trading furniture (“Onyx” and “Yantar” lots). “Agat” furniture will be placed in wine department.
We remind that many stores in Velikie Luki are equipped by LLC “Protec Company” and “MEP-Luki” produce. Among them are “Podarki”, “Almaz”, “Domovoi”, “Avtomir”, “Telehall”, “Fluidor”, etc. Moreover, trading furniture produced by LLC “MEP-Luki” is installed in department stores of Vladivostok, Magadan, Khabarovsk, Moscow, Irkutsk, Astrakhan. Refrigerating equipment of LLC “Protec Company” is represented in trading pavilions of Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Archangelsk, Severodvinsk, Rostov-na-Donu, Astrakhan, Minsk and Krasnodar.

Basic rent rate per m2 of floor area increased in Pskov 2 times |
During the 30th session of Pskov city Duma deputies adopted a decision to increase basic rent rate per m2 of floor area of nonresidential premises in municipal property. As the Pskov Information Agency correspondent reports, representative of Municipal Property Management Committee of the city Administration reported that earlier the rate equaled 41 rubles. As of September 1st, 94 thousand 506 m2 of floor area are given in rent in Pskov, total amount of contracts of municipal premises lease numbers 809.
Herewith, average cost of 1 square meter of rentable area in Pskov amounts 415 rubles per year, whereas in Veliki Novgorod it comes to 450 rubles, in Vladimir – 730, in Vologda – 550, in Ivanovo – 495 rubles. And in 2005 the abovementioned municipal formations are going to increase rent rate 1.5-2 times.
According to specialists, increase of basic rate will not cause reduction of demand for rental of municipal premises – in the course of contests on selling rights to conclude leasing contracts rent charges are increased 3-4 times and no-one surrenders a lease. All rented premises in the city are in demand, there is even a queue for them.
Supposed revenues to the city budget, according to specialists’ estimates, will amount about 20 million rubles, if rent rate is increased. Deputies of the city Duma approved of arguments of the representative of Municipal Property Management Committee, though his colleague Yuri Sorokin reminded that any increase will finally result in price of the final business product, so it means that population is again to pay for everything.

“Italhold” output new line of freezer chests |
|
Velikie Luki LLC “Italholod”, producer of “DANCAR” freezer chests, has manufactured a new lot of freezer chests of the 4th climatic class in temperature regime of -18-24 C. As the Pskov Information Agency was reported in the press office of the International Association of Economical Partners (IAEP), at client’s option the chest may be produced in medium-temperature regime (-2 +10 ). Brand new items are designed for storage of ice cream and frozen products, as well as for goods that doesn’t need deep freezing.
The new lot of freezer chests includes models with straight sliding glass doors, bent sloping glass doors and tight cover; they can be represented in 4 standard sizes - 270, 350, 450, 545 litres.
«Danfoss» compressors that secure required chest temperature in 35 minutes are applied in complete set of LLC “Italholod” chests. Environmentally safe freon gas R404A is used as a coolant, and polyurethane foam of BASF German group of companies provides thermal insulation. Chest evaporator is made from high-grade copper, its inner surface is covered with Boston aluminum scotch tape for better cold emission. Remote condenser is deliberately cooled by an electric ventilator, what increases cooling capacity. Low emission tempered glass is applied in all modifications; it is safe, causes no injuries and reflects sun rays.
The chest is additionally supplied with a thermometer, price holder and wheels for street trade. At client’s request company brand or logotype may be placed on chest surface by means of silk-screening or vinyl sticker. Standard chest colours are blue and white.
All freezer chests are subjected to computer testing and obligatory test operations in temperature chamber at every production stage, and this is additional quality guarantee. Documentary test results are enclosed to the ready-made product together with manufacturer's certificate.
As was mentioned in the press office, new DANCAR” freezer chests are distinguished for original design, smooth, sweeping lines of the item.
LLC “Italholod” was founded in Velikie Luki at the end of April 2003. The plant specializes in production of trade freezer chests and cooling units for refrigerating equipment. Cost of the first project line is 2.5$ million. First assembly line was installed in March-April 2003, its capacity is 8-16 chests per hour in a shift.

Land prices cut down in Ostrov and Sebezh districts |
November 25, legislative initiative of Ostrov and Sebezh district Assemblies to cut down land prices in these districts when selling land plots to proprietors of building structures located on these grounds was supported at the 34th session of the Pskov region Assembly of deputies, the Pskov Information Agency correspondent reports.
From now on, land price in these municipal formations is fixed at triple size to land tax rate per unit area. Previously the index was ten-fold to tax rate.
Thus Sebezh and Ostrov districts joined Pskov, Velikie Luki, Pechory and Bezhanitsy districts, where such index has already been fixed.

“Inkasbank” intends to open branches in Moscow and Pskov until the end of 2004 |
OJSC “Inkasbank” included into the Eastern European Financing Corporation (EEFC) intends to open branches in Moscow and Pskov until the end of 2004, Finnews.ru reports with reference to EEFC press office.
“Moscow” branch will become the second branch of EEFC in Moscow. The first one was opened over 5 years ago by “Petro-Aero-Bank”. A branch in Pskov is to start functioning until the end of 2004.
Moreover, “Inkasbank” is planning to open a branch in Nizhni Novgorod in 2005. Leasing contract has already been signed, construction works are to be launched soon.
As the press release reads, regions for branch foundation are selected with account of assessment of the real condition of bank services market. Relationship with large EEFC clients in promotion of their interests in regions is as fundamental in selection as their potential capacity to develop retail business in regions.
For the present moment the Corporation integrates over 130 bank departments in Saint Petersburg and 35 outside the city, including the Leningrad region, Veliki Novgorod, Voronezh, Moscow, Izhevsk and Udmurtia.
